Working out your shoe size
    

Shoe sizes vary from country to country and for this reason we use a standard foot measurement system. To work out your foot size place the heel of your bare foot against a wall with your toes perpendicular to the wall (at 90 degrees). Have a piece of paper under your foot, touching the wall and make a mark on the paper at the end of your big toe. Repeat this procedure for the other foot. See diagram below.  Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in centimetres or inches. Refer to the tables below to work out your size.
